Good news! The builders are back on site at St Owens, and the walls of the extension are starting to go up again. Do have a look if you are out walking round the church. We hope to have a financial update on the project soon.

Giving During Lockdown With our churches unable to meet together, this may be the time to look again at how you make your financial gift to the church. If you usually put cash in the plate, could you consider giving through the bank for this time? Or you can post a cheque to the Treasurer of your church. If you prefer, you can put your offering aside each week and wait for the weekly services in church to resume. In Bromham, the Parish Giving Scheme offers an alternative method of giving through the bank. Ask the clergy or church wardens for details of who to contact in your parish about your giving.

Daily Hope is a new Church of England Initiative. It’s a free phoneline containing hymns, reflections and prayers. Call FREE 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044

Help is available if you are unwell or self-isolating. Please let one of the church wardens or clergy know if you, or a neighbour or friend, could do with some help. Many people from the church and the community are asking what they can do, so please get in touch with requests (and offers of help).

Bedford Foodbank still needs our help – put donations in the boxes at most large supermarkets, or give money online: https://bedford.foodbank.org.uk/

Keeping in touch The pew leaflet can be emailed or delivered to anyone who would like a copy – please tell Sarah if you know someone who wants to receive it.
